Citizens' Transportation Advisory Committee

The Citizens’ Transportation Advisory Committee (CTAC) provides citizens with the opportunity to become involved in the transportation planning process and to ensure that proposed transportation projects are responsive to the community’s needs and goals. CTAC is mandated by the State through the Federal government to advise the Miami-Dade TPO Governing Board on achieving quality transportation facilities and programs for the citizens of Miami-Dade County.

The CTAC serves the Miami-Dade TPO Governing Board on an advisory basis with the following core responsibilities:

  • Assist in the review and development of transportation planning studies.
  • Participate in the development of the TPO’s Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP).
  • Review the TPO’s Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP), Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP), and the LRTP final documents prior to their submission to the TPO Governing Board for approval.
  • Serve as a forum for citizens to be informed and heard as a part of the transportation planning process.
