Experience the forefront of urban bicycle and pedestrian innovation at the 2024 Safe Streets Summit. On March 1, 2024, immerse yourself and attend one of the mobile tours and afternoon workshop, featuring a series of dynamic and interactive excursions that unveil cutting-edge bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure designed for safer and more versatile streets.
Embark on a journey through a myriad of sessions highlighting walkability, bikeability, micromobility, economic development, and beyond. The tours, led by local experts and community representatives, promise an insightful exploration into the region’s progressive initiatives. Refreshments included with purchase of tour ticket. Tours are subject to change due to weather and/or other unforeseen circumstances.

This free two-hour experience beckons you to navigate the lively streets of Miami, immersing yourself in the liberating world of commuting on two wheels. Bring your own bike (BYOB), don your helmet, and discover the city's vibrant energy in a fresh and invigorating light. As an added thrill, a special appearance is anticipated by the legendary 3-time Tour de France winner, Greg Lemond. This event is more than just a ride, it's an opportunity to connect with fellow cyclists, enjoy the urban landscape, and become an integral part of Miami's dynamic biking community.

Set out on an exclusive bike/ped/transit tour through Brickell, The Underline, and beyond. Join tour host Patrice Gillespie-Smith of the Underline and co-hosts from the City of Miami, as they provide an in-depth look at the evolution of bike/ped features in an urban landscape, right through the heart of Miami. This adventure begins with a walk from the InterContinental Miami Hotel and continues with a short ride on the Metromover to the Brickell Station, where attendees will use eBikes, powered by Citi Bike, to embark on a unique exploration of Miami's vibrant shared-use paths. Guests will cruise down The Underline, cross the Vizcaya Pedestrian Bridge to Alice Wainwright Park overlooking Biscayne Bay, and return to Brickell Station. A walk to the new pedestrian scramble in Brickell, followed by a Metromover trip back to the hotel will give guests an all-inclusive mobility experience, seamlessly combing picturesque biking, pedestrian exploration, and public transit. Don't miss the opportunity to be part of this limited-capacity tour, where every moment is a discovery in a dynamic cityscape.

Hop on board the TOD train and immerse yourself in the evolution of the Strategic Miami Area Rapid Transit (SMART) Program, where tour guests will experience firsthand mass transit connectivity and land use developments in southeastern portions of Miami-Dade County. Embark on a guided tour hosted by Alex Barrios from Miami-Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) and Jerry Bell from Miami-Dade Regulatory and Economic Resources (RER). They will kick-off the day at InterContinental Miami Hotel, board the Metromover, and head to Government Center, where the group will board Metrorail and view various TOD elements along the way including tour stops at the Douglas Road and Dadeland South Metrorail Stations. The adventure continues as guests board a Metrobus and explore the South Dade TransitWay, with stops at key facility elements to explore connectivity at intersections and Park & Ride lots. Guests will journey back to the Dadeland South Metrorail Station for their return trip back to the InterContinental Miami Hotel. This tour promises to be an enlightening exploration of the evolution of South Miami-Dade's TODs both on rails and wheels!

Pack your bags and take a trip to sunny South Beach, a.k.a., SOBE, to explore beyond its iconic beaches and glamorous scenery via a vibrant bike ride and walking tour sponsored by Citi Bike and the City of Miami Beach. The fun starts at the InterContinental Miami Hotel where guests will take a short walk to the Metromover and ride to the Omni Station. From there participants will enjoy a beautiful bike ride along the historic Venetian Causeway with key stops to view the latest bicycle and pedestrian features including separated green bike lanes, road armadillos, as well as learn about the planning behind making the Causeway and City a more connected network for all road users. The excursion continues with a bus tour around SOBE and walking tour along Ocean Drive for a deeper dive into the installation of pedestrian promenades and shared use paths. After a brief walking tour and bus ride back to the Causeway, the experience concludes with a casual bike ride back over Venetian where guests will return via the Metromover or Freebee back to the hotel.
